On this page I want to thank everyone who helped me to make these trails possible:

  • My parents
  • Who always support me.
  • Helen
  • She takes care of my car when I am back in Germany and takes care of me when I am in the US. Everytime I stay in her house it’s like coming home from a long journey...
  • David
  • He always helps me out of the trouble I am getting myself in when working on my car.
  • Matt and Jean
  • They share their house with me everytime I travel through Detroit. I am looking forward to our next beer at the campfire, Matt! Read how we met in 1999 on my Lewis & Clark Trail at day 16.
  • Harv and Barb
  • My friends in the Rockies, where I always get a warm welcome on my trails. I am looking forward to seeing you again when I am back in the Colorado Springs area and the nice talking we always have! Read more on how about I met Harv on my Zebulon Montgomery Pike Trail, Arkansas Journey, Day 26. Sadly Harv passed away in 2018 after a long fight against a desease. I will miss you my friend!

I met Brian in 2012 on a Dance event in Germany. Brian runs his own dance studio ‘Dance Louisville’ in Louisville, KY. He invited me to stay at his house on my way back east. Since this year Louisville is another warm stop over with friends on my travels.
  • Bob and Sandy
  • I met them 2009 in Dubois, WY. Thank you so much for the nice talking and the invitation for breakfast. I am looking forward to visiting you one day in Denver.

He infected me with the “virus” USA. He also explained to the formerly “Greenhorn” in 1998 how everything works in the USA. Thanks for taking the picture of me in my living room and for the pictures with my Jeep Cherokee.
  • Jens
  • Thanks for the endless time on the telephone giving me a lot of good hints and ideas for the new web design of my pages in 2009!
  • Rex and Mark
  • They have inspired me with their web page. Thank you for sharing your trail experience with me.
