Today I totally slept in. I hurry up to get ready. Yesterday they recommended the Pitt Grill for breakfast. This is a small family restaurant, but with pretty high prices. The food is okay but still way overpriced for this type of restaurant!

After breakfast I pack my stuff together and check again how to drive today. I decide to take the route via St. Louis and passing Memphis to get around the gas shortage area. First I hit I–30.

Because of the bad gas with 10% Ethanol I am forced to gas up two times! At Dogwood I have my second stopover.

Then I cross the state line to Missouri and reach Sikeston soon. There I see a Ruby Tuesday. So I decide to finish here for today to have a chance to catch up with my video taping checking and diary. Around half past six I check in at the Motel 6. The motel was recently built and everything looks accordingly really nice. I rework my tour once again and plan to make the next day stop at Richmond.

Then I walk over for dinner. The restaurant is not really busy and the hostess does not show up for an eternity. It takes more than 5 minutes until she eventually shows up and takes me to my table — with no excuse. Instead, the service of my server is way better. However, the food size is really small, which I don’t remember this way. Okay, it is already a couple of years ago since I had dinner in a Ruby Tuesday restaurant.

Back in my motel, I first check my video taping of yesterday and today. Then I enter all my receipts in my spreadsheet. Finally I write my diary which I finish around eleven. Now I must only download the pictures of today before I am eventually able to go to bed around half past eleven. Slowly I should start to adjust to Eastern time zone!
