Stephen H. Long Trail 1819 — 1820
Day 6: August 29th, 2008 Pittsburgh (Car Work)
Today I sleep a bit longer. Around half past six I wake up and just before seven I get up. The transmission work really exhausted me. Nevertheless I still have a full work load today. First I check my emails. Then I go shopping.
With enough material equipped I start my work to wire up the new roof rack. Also for the big hole in my roof from the old CB antenna I have found a solution: A main brake cylinder seal has just the right size.
David quickly helps me to get the roof rack up on my truck roof. Then I continue my work all by myself. All the wiring is way more extensive than originally expected. And into the bargain, a heavy migraine attack kills me in the late afternoon.
In the evening I take an Ibuprofen which David offered. But this also didn’t really help. Therefore I drive back home around half past seven.
After a shower I already feel better and I even drive for dinner. Helen is with friends. Therefore I would have been home alone anyways. Because it is already so late, I only drive to the nearby Lone Star Steakhouse. Then I drive back home. After all, around 10pm I decide to go to bed.
