Robert Stuart Trail 1812 — 1813
Day 40: September 20th, 2007 Pittsburgh (Mine)
Because of my emission issue I have another appointment at a quarter to eight at Pep Boys. As already suspected, he cannot do the test as a retest, because the time frame has now passed. It even doesn’t help that I was back in time, but the guy was not on duty. The computer would throw the entries out and calculate everything as new emission test — law in PA!
Pretty much annoyed I drive back home. Helen’s friend Virginia arrives soon and we depart for the mine. Helen takes the lead of our little convoy with her Mustang, while Viriginia drives her SUV.
The next surprise is at the mine: Even when my gas tank is only half full, but the gauge shows three quarters I must take the amount of fuel that is over the gauge limit out of the gas tank. Around four and a half gallons must be taken out and I must pay 25 Dollars for having this fun!
Pretty much fed up we drive into the mine. The rest follows the usual routine. We hand everything over at the office, then we drive back. Around 1pm we pick up a pizza before we drive home. First I repack my suitcase. While doing this I listen to my CDs.
Around 7pm we have the good–bye dinner at the Outback Steakhouse with David, Lisa, Johnna and Helen. It is great to have a chance to talk to David. It is really sad, that he doesn’t has much time for chatting, because he is always working. Around half past eight we are back home and I write my diary. Then we watch TV a little bit before I go to bed.
